Inspired by Jenn.
1. I think too much.
2. I’ve been an Administrative type (up to Executive Admin) for 13+ years.
3. I’ve been an aspiring photographer for about 3 years. I’ve only recently been able to confidently drop the ‘aspiring’ a couple months ago. (typing this on 10/15/09)
4. My favorite color is purple.
5. I’m a natural follower/supporter. Not a leader by any stretch of the imagination.
6. I am an idealist…but trying to recover.
7. I’m a follower and lover of Jesus Christ; aspiring disciple.
8. I have a very deep desire to become a missionary. Do not know when or how that will manifest. God knows.
9. I may have insecurities, but I will barrel through circumstance to reach any goal.
10. I’m a doer.
11. I’m a dreamer.
12. I’m very passionate about my convictions and what I believe.
13. I’m a lover.
14. I’m very emotional.
15. I’m very sensitive.
16. I love the country; nature; trees; fresh air.
17. I do not love the city. Convenient…but not enough to compensate for the inconveniences (read: commute; traffic; not knowing neighbors; busy; hurried; crazy, etc…)
18. I’m a big picture person.
19. I’m a bit scatter brained. This has only gotten way worse since pregnancy and motherhood.
20. I seem to have lost my short term memory…thank you pregnancy and motherhood. :o) I’m not sure how this is supposed to benefit motherhood? :o)
21. I’m organized in fits and starts. The rest of the time I’m kinda willy nilly. Which doesn’t help my short term memory or scatter brained’ness.
22. I love to travel.
23. I was in the Navy. This tapped into my wanderlust.
24. I love the beach. It puts me in my place of significance…I can move the ocean about as easily as I can move God.
25. I’m easily distracted.
26. I need a lot of quiet time.
27. I don’t get much quiet time as a single mom.
28. I need at least 9 hours of sleep to feel refreshed. I don’t get this as a single mom. Could be partially responsible for my scattered, lacking short term memory, brained out’ness.
29. I hate talking on the phone.
30. I am partially deaf in my right ear from a childhood ear infection. They do not have hearing aids for this kind of deafness. Hence my not liking to talk on the phone. I get annoyed at myself for saying ‘what?’ so many times.
31. I love to write. But can’t seem to do so very well when I have a lot on my mind or am processing things.
32. I still have my tonsils. Do not have my appendix.
33. My name means ‘Victorious’ in Greek. I will claim this. :o)
34. I prefer optimism over pessimism, but find myself erring on the side of self preservation more than I care to. Acknowledgment is key to release, I think.
35. I love to read.
36. I am able to apply what I read to my life pretty immediately.
37. I’m a hands on learner.
38. I cannot memorize.
39. I do not word associate; I emotion/feeling associate.
40. I’m pretty mellow most of the time, but am easily excitable.
41. I am an observer. Love to people watch.
42. I’m the wall flower in group settings; comfortable observing.
43. I’m generally not comfortable in large group settings.
44. I feel everything. Which is why it is not comfortable for me to be in large group settings. Every emotion, feeling, undercurrent is felt.
45. I’ve had visions that I’ve seen manifest.
46. I finally after too many years, trust my intuition.
47. I do not watch TV. If I do, I tend to turn it off after about 10 minutes. Can’t stand it.
48. I like to be blissfully ignorant. If something is important enough for me to know, there’s no way I won’t know it. I was driving along the LBJ Freeway in Dallas, TX when the 9-11 airplane crashes occurred. I trust any other catastrophic event will educate me as readily.
49. I am a small town girl. I endeavor to return.
50. My ’stuff’ does not own me. I’m in the process of getting rid of everything that has collected in my garage and house that I don’t need or use right now. I can’t take it with me, anyway.
51. My treasures are in heaven.
52. I’ve been married twice, and still believe in the institution of marriage…the way God ordained it.
53. I trust that husband #3 will be the charm. :o)
54. I have one daughter and hope to have a son someday.
55. Technology is a love/hate relationship for me.
56. I love hand writing letters; and receiving them.
57. I love giving gifts from the heart. Gifts for the sake of gifts…are not gifts. They are obligations. Life sucking obligations.
58. I don’t like feeling obligated.
59. I do not feel any of us are ‘entitled’ to anything. Life is a gift.
60. I often feel like an island.
61. I love the islands. All the tropical varieties. :o)
62. I like dogs okay. I love cats.
63. If I were to have a dog, I would have a giant dog. Great Dane. Bull Mastiff. St. Bernard. Something like that.
64. If I were to have another kitty, I’d have another calico. Or two. But no more than two. I love cats, but am not a ‘cat woman’.
65. I do have a collection of dust bunnies that breed like crazy.
66. I need a house keeper. :o)
67. I own my own 3 br condo.
68. I’ve been unemployed now for…9 months and while the numbers do not add up…I have somehow been able to make the ends meet. God’s financing is not explainable. But it is real. And it works. I don’t question it.
69. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom. Doesn’t seem possible for a single mom to do it, but… I am.
70. I hope to home skool my daughter. If I am not able, I hope to have someone home skool her.
71. I’m a controversial ‘non-immunizer’. I have the healthiest kid ever. (minus a couple flu bouts)
72. I nursed for a year.
73. I had a 23 hour, no pain medication, natural water birth. And would do it again in a minute. If I can have a locomotive drive through my uterus once, I can do it again. :o)
74. If I had a husband to support a quiver full, I’d have a quiver full more. :o) I love motherhood.
75. I do not recommend single motherhood. The greatest gift ever…but the most difficult job on the planet, I’m sure of it.
76. I’m a brown thumb; can’t keep plants alive. So glad I can keep a kid alive. :o)
77. I really dislike being cold.
78. I really like tropical breezes.
79. Would like to be a snow bird one day. North in the summer, south in the winter.
80. I do like to ski and play in the snow; fully wrapped and layered.
81. I love techno music.
82. I love to dance.
83. Music moves me. All kinds, varieties and flavors depending on my mood.
84. I’ve moved 30 something times in my life.
85. I’ve lived in 7 states, but have been to…many more. Can’t think to count at the moment. :o)
86. My favorite movies involve love stories and romance. But I also love psychological thrillers. Not of the overly gory variety…it loses its point when too much blood is shed.
87. I can and will find deep meaning in any circumstance; and I choose to grow from it always.
88. I’m not sure how to see things on the surface; cuz I’m such a deep thinker.
89. I hope to write a book someday. I’m not sure about what.
90. I do not like working for corporate america. But I like how they pay.
91. I know that the salary numbers do not guarantee anything. I just went to Kauai – unemployed – by no effort of my own…the entire trip was paid for. What a blessing. Why do I need a high paying job?
92. I love cozy fireplaces and the company of good, warm people and friends.
93. I’d love to live in a log cabin someday. Or a grass hut. I’m flexible. :o)
94. I’d prefer not to live in a tsunami, hurricane, tornado, or earthquake zone. Someplace in the mountains would work for me. In the tropics. In the mountains. :o)
95. I can be pretty intense sometimes. I do not know how to redirect or taper this. It is what it is.
96. I’m accepting of the body that I have been placed in…but I still struggle with a few things. Work in progress.
97. I prefer simple cotton sheets over glam satin sheets. I’d like a silky robe, though.
98. I love slippers and fluffy socks.
99. I love the comfort of big fluffy comforters and pillows. Even when it is warm.
100. I love to cook. For many…not just for one.
Wow. I’m on a roll now! :o) But I will pause here. Maybe later I’ll do 100 more.

[...] 100 Things About Me [...]
I can relate to quite a few of those comments. The need for, and lack of 9 hours of sleep per night, the scatterbrained ness and the desire for a large family someday….maybe. LOL! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to having you back to blogging.
